Seonaid Mackenzie – Finalist for the Women in Finance Awards

Sturgeon Ventures are delighted that Seonaid Mackenzie has been shortlisted in the Ambassador of the Year category for the Women in Finance Awards 2019.

The awards celebrate finance and diversity and is the largest initiative in Europe.  It seeks to recognise the high-achievers, advocates, and role models for women in the sector.

The awards take place in June 2019, London.

Sturgeon Ventures, under Seaonid’s lead, has been a committed member of Women in Finance Charter since 2016 and it’s management team is made up of 50% women, the only Regulatory Incubator with a 50% male/female management team.

Sturgeon is also proud to have 50%+ Investment Committee who are women for our incubated closed ended Venture and Private Equity Funds.

Seonaid works with Speakers with Schools, presenting her career journey as a female entrepreneur within the Financial Services sector, an industry crying out for diversity and female role models.  Alongside shadowing 16-18 years old for work experience and learning about different careers in financial services.
