Women in Compliance Awards 2017 – Two Nominations for Sturgeon Ventures

Sturgeon Ventures has been shortlisted for two awards at the Women in Compliance Awards 2017.  The categories are:
Compliance Officer of the Year, EMEA – Seonaid Mackenzie
Compliance Consulting Team of the Year – Sturgeon Ventures

The Annual Women in Compliance Awards are the ultimate celebration of the achievements female compliance professionals make every day in the world of compliance and business. The Awards embody the very best initiatives, individuals and teams, bringing into sharp focus the united efforts of this innovative and dynamic sector.
The shortlist encapsulates the most talented women across the sector from some of the world’s leading companies. It is judged by industry leaders and represents an important celebration of talent and development.

Sturgeon’s commitment to equality and diversity is an active one and we have signed the Women in Finance charter. By signing the charter, Sturgeon Ventures LLP have committed to implement four recommendations to improve gender diversity in financial services. The charter asks financial firms to support the progression of women into senior roles, set internal and externally reportable targets to improve diversity in the workforce, and publicly report on these goals.
This is a great recognition, for Seonaid and the team.  The Sturgeon team is mainly women and more than 50% working mothers.
