Seonaid Mackenzie wins Compliance Innovator of the Year Award 2013

PRESS RELEASE

Thomson Reuters Accelus held their 9th Compliance Awards on 6th November 2013 at the Sheraton Park Lane in London’s Piccadilly. It was a packed out evening with the great and the good from the London world of regulation and compliance.
Seonaid Mackenzie, Founding Partner of Sturgeon Ventures LLP, won the 2013 Compliance Innovator of the Year Award, accepting her award to great cheers from her table consisting of some of the Sturgeon team as well as incubated clients.
Sturgeon Ventures LLP’s, Seonaid Mackenzie was also runner up to Michaela Goodwin of Credit Agricole for 2013 Most Effective Compliance Training at a Regulated Firm.
Seonaid said “It was an amazing privilige to be here as a shortlisted nominated candidate. I did not honestly think we would win being up against firms such as Huntswood and the Willis Group.” Although no speeches were made she said she accepted the award with great pride and thanked the support of her whole team, which has a good ratio of back to work mothers, whose nurturing qualities and real life financial experience are often commented on favourably by both clients and peers in the industry.
