The Partners, love of being involved in the growth and nurturing of private companies, led to the creation of the Incubator. Initially there was no sector focus, incubation was across all sectors, in 1999 a sector specialisation began in financial services.

Sturgeon Ventures LLP has incubated people and firms since 1999. Incubation allows a firm to build a track record, competency, business processes whilst achieving critical mass.

This service has and is being used by British financial service startups. It has also been widely used by foreign firms, both European and those from the United States, starts ups and established firms wishing to begin regulated investment business in the UK, in a timely manner. the incubation is before and during the time of applying for their own Independent FSA Authorisation.
